Introduction Courses Turkey and Tours
On request, NIHA organizes and executes various tours to different parts of Turkey.
Although the general introduction tours will partially be touristic, the main objective is to acquaint the participants about the country as much as possible in a short time. The programme might contain different features depending on the background and the desires of the participants.
Some of the destinations for short tours are as follows;
- Cappadocia, where one can find a combination of a wonderful tuff landscape, beautiful Byzantine churches and a flourishing village-life ;
- Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara followed by a visit to the Hittites city of Hattussa and the Pre-Hittites city of Alacahöyük. During this tour, Sanfranbolu (considered as an open air museum of the ancient Ottoman life) can be visited as well. This beautiful city has ancient country houses and handcrafts to explore.
- Afyon-Emirdağ, Yozgat-Boğazlıyan and some provinces like Kırşehir, Kayseri, Konya and Karaman are the places where a lot of Turks’ immigrate from to the Netherlands.
Extensive/wide ranging Turkey tours can be organised upon request as well.
NIHA can organize tours for private groups with excursions to government institutions, excavation sites (in cooperation with the NIT-Istanbul), companies, country side, schools and universities.
