Rent a train (subtitles in Dutch only)
In collaboration with the Turkish Railways, NIHA offers an open train concept, in reference to the upcoming celebration of the 400 years between the Netherlands and Turkey. Universities, schools, enterprises, associations etc. are more than welcome to plan an awe-inspiring journey along the breathtaking 1000 kilometres available Turkish railway track. Reassamble your trip as it suits to you, for example stop-overs, dinners, business meetings, as a sight-seeing trip or just as a replacement of a hotel etc. NİHA wıll make it possible and will take care of your itinerary.We will set up the programme: from the catering in the train to the setting of the conference carriage. Science Fair – Children’s University Turkey 2011.
Supported and financed by the BERNARD van LEER FOUNDATION, the Netherlands Institute for Higher Education (NİHA) coordinates for the second year an Early Childhood Development Diploma Course (http://ecd.nihankara.org/) for mid-career professionals in Turkey. Together with the trainers of SARDES & International Childhood Development Initiatives (ICDI) and guest lecturers from several Turkish Universities and the ECD working field the 17 participants visited Ankara Universities Science Fair, the annual AU Children’s University happening – 10 June 2011.
For this specific Science Fair @ Ankara University both Ankara University and NIHA were supported by the MATRA program of the Netherlands Embassy.

Between 23 and 28 November 2008 the largest Netherlands Economic Mission ever, headed by Minister of Foreign Trade Frank Heemskerk and State Secretary of Education, Culture and Science Marja van Bijsterveldt visited Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
NIHA had the honour to organise the educational part of this mission, i.e.
o 3 Educational Networking Fairs
o Individual matching
o Over 10 seminars and bigger meetings on themes such as “Best Practices in Educational Cooperation, Tourism & Hospitality”, “Health & Elderly Care”, “Water management” and “The Role of Chambers of Commerce in VET”.

A short film by KozaVisual and SFR Film about the “borders” for the ESCALA- European Youth Summer Camp a la Turca.
ESCALA – European Youth Summer Camp a la Turca.
ESCALA – European Youth Summer Camp a la Turca, held in the mountains of Kastamonu province in Turkey during 4 days in August 2008, focused on the issue of European awareness and diversity among young citizens. About 50 young people coming from Turkey,Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, and Austria shared their opinions about a widerange of EU-related subjects and met with about 10 experts and European policy-makers during the camp’s activities.
