Mediation and Conflict Management
The Conflict Management Network Project of NIHA aims to bring together experts and knowledge in the field of conflict management in Turkey, to promote concepts and methods of peaceful conflict resolution and to bridge Turkey and the Netherlands in this area. The long-term objective of this project is to create a sustainable network of interested academics and practitioners, who work on conflict management in Turkey and the Netherlands. Within this project, conflict management is broadly defined, including cultural, economic and political conflicts.
Background
The Conflict Management Network Project was initiated in April 2009 with a series of consultations with Turkish organizations and individuals active in this field. NIHA spoke with over 35 experts and identified interested parties and their specific interests and needs.
