International Negotiation Techniques Training

Netherlands Institute for Higher Education (NIHA) and the Netherlands Education Association (HED) kindly invites you to a one-day training on International Negotiations by Prof. Dr. Paul Meerts. The training by Dr. Meerts will take place at NIHA Building located at Koza Sokak, No:111, GOP, Ankara at 09:00 and will end at 17:00.

About the Training

The International Negotiations training by Dr. Meerts is an annual event of NIHA and aims to benefit students, recent graduates and young professionals, who are working on internationally intense environments, as well as the young diplomats and professionals of both the governmental institutions and the non-governmental organizations. The training specifically focuses on international negotiations as a method for peaceful dispute settlement between states and/or other organizations. It addresses different methods of negotiation through determining and examining types of conflict situations and handling modes.

About Prof. Dr. Paul Meerts

Prof. Dr. Paul Meerts, who is a Senior Research Associate of the Clingendael Institute – Netherlands, is also a visiting professor in International Negotiation Analysis at the College of Europe (Bruges). In the past he was Head of Training and Education (1983-1989), Deputy Director (1990-2006) and Special Advisor to the Director of Clingendael (2006-2011). His current expertise is the international negotiations processes and Prof. Dr. Meerts is currently training diplomats, civil servants and military officers in over ninety countries worldwide.

Admission

Please note that the language of the training will be English and all attending participants will be awarded with a certificate at the end of the training. The admission fee for the training is 75TL for the students and 150TL for professionals. Please click here to download the admission form.
